I enjoyed reading this book. It was hard to put it down because I wanted to see how it ended. The main character is Lydia, an English woman who grew up in China in the 1800's. Through a variety of circumstances, she lives in China, England and Korea in the book. She is impacted by each location and each culture. She wrestles with her feelings and tries to find her place in the world. Her character is delightful. The story is a romance, but it also includes a bit of mystery. I would recommend it.Product details

I really enjoyed this book. However, I only gave it 4 stars because it did tend to drag out toward the end.
